Our History

L&L Asphalt has deep roots in East Texas, going back decades. It all started with Homer Ward and Ted Salyer, who built a reputation for honest work and quality paving. Later, Jim Lockridge and Jake Moser purchased the company and ran it together until 1995. That’s when they decided to split the business and bring in the next generation: David.

David worked alongside his father, and his sister Jeri Yelverton, for years, learning the ins and outs of the trade and carrying on the same values the company was built on. In 2023, he officially took ownership, continuing the legacy of high-quality asphalt work. 

Today, L&L Asphalt is proud to be veteran owned, family owned and operated, serving the Tyler area with the same commitment to quality that’s guided us for generations.
